摘要：

A model of a digital beamformer is proposed and analyzed. The efects of random timing errors resulting from the sampling process upon array gain and sidelobe level are evaluated. It is shown that sampling rates from 4 to 10 times the transducer give satisfactory performance. Also evaluated is the effect of the fineness of quantization upon the sidelobe level.
