摘要
Preimplantation genetic diagnosis-aneuploidy screening (PGD-AS) accounts for up to two thirds of PGD indications worldwide. This technique is applied in cases of advanced maternal age, repeated implantation failure after IVF, recurrent spontaneous miscarriage and for poor ovarian response. Despite more than 1,000 children born after PGD, the value of PGD-AS remains unclear. Although clinical implantation rates are increased, the overall clinical pregnancy rate does not differ from cycles without PGD, due to the low number of embryos transferred. There is no data available showing a benefit in multiple gestations. Most studies are descriptive with a paucity of controlled randomized trials. © Springer Medizin Verlag 2005.
