摘要
We consider the basic steps in geometric analysis of inorganic compounds, including breakdown of the structure into atomic planes and specification of the rule for superposition of the atomic planes. Taking as an example compounds with predominantly nondirected chemical bonds (ionic structures with closest packing of atoms, metals and alloys, compounds with heavy and high-valency cations), we present the development of this method. We conclude with the development of the technique, the algorithms, and the programs for finding the densely filled atomic nets, which are the most natural crystallochemical charateristics of the crystal structure.
