OXIDATIVE DEHYDROGENATION OF ETHYLBENZENE TO STYRENE IN PRESENCE OF V2O5-COO-NA2O/MGO CATALYSTS

摘要
There has been tested the activity of V2O5-CoO-Na2O/MgO catalyst in the reaction of oxidative dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene depending upon the chemical composition of the raw material. There has been determined the optimum way of the catalyst synthesis. It has been found out that higher impurity content in ethylbenzene (sulfur and chlorine) does not affect the catalyst acitvity (for up to 150 h). The presence of styrene in the raw material lowers the yield of the oxidative dehydrogenation process. Impregnation of magnesium oxide with aqueous solution of salts of active components gave the catalyst of high activity and improved stability.
