摘要
A new model of continuum optical radiation induced by ion bombardment of metals taking into account the molecular excitation in a repulsive state due to binary collisions is presented. The intensity of continuum radiation of molybdenum, tungsten and tantalum is calculated as a function of incident-ion energy using computer simulations of some surface processes leading to sputtering of molecules in the excited state. The calculations agree rather well with the experiments. © 1990.
