Josephson microwave self-radiation properties in YBa2Cu3Oy granular junctions

We report the superconducting transport properties of YBa2Cu3Oy(YBCO) granular bridge junctions and discuss the Josephson junction properties in connection with the two-dimensional arrays of Josephson weak links model. The current-voltage (I-V) characteristics and the Josephson microwave self-radiation properties of the granular bridge showed the one dimensional series-connected junction array behaviors in the low bias current range. For higher bias voltage regime. the transport properties were influenced by the phase of the current loops formed along the current paths. The heterodyne mixing performance could be understood that the granular junction acted as a source of nonlinear device for wide bias range.
