In humans, cutaneous lymphomas can be divided into three major groups: epidermotropic cutaneous lymphomas (ECLs), in which the neoplastic lymphocytes have a tendency to invade the epidermis; nonepidermotropic cutaneous lymphomas (NECLs); and related diseases, which include histiocytic proliferative disorders.1 Diseases in the last category are not true lymphomas. © 1994.
