DISSIPATIVE PHASE-TRANSITION IN QUANTUM-FIELD THEORY

摘要
The influence of dissipation on a dynamically generated mass is studied. It is shown that dissipation suppresses the quantum fluctuations and causes the dynamical mass to decrease. As an example, a low dimensional CPN - 1-model is considered and the explicit dependence of dynamical mass on the "friction" coefficient and temperature is obtained. In the model with spontaneous symmetry breaking (φ4-model) a shift of the critical temperature and a kink energy renormalization in a weak dissipative medium are calculated. © 1993 Academic Press, Inc.
