摘要
Two new iterative methods for solving nonlinear equations are presented using a new quadrature rule based on spline functions. Analysis of convergence shows that these methods have third-order convergence. Their practical utility is demonstrated by numerical examples to show that these methods are more efficient than that of Newton's.
