摘要：
Cognitive-behavioral treatment in an adolescent with trichotillomania. This case study describes the implementation of a cognitive-behavioral therapy in a 14 years old teenager who has suffered from Trichotillomania since she was 10 years old. The treatment aimed to reduce the anxiety caused by her image, express the tension and anger in an adaptive way, reduce and / or eliminate the number of hairs pulled out and improve motherfather-daughter communication. The intervention consisted of 4 assessment sessions, 11 of treatment and a follow-up of 2 years and 4 months, still underway. The results showed that the girl managed to achieve the proposed goals, although she is still in a follow-up to assure that the number of hairs pulled out stays at zero and check that the outcomes of the therapy remain over time.
