摘要
Dispersed colloidal substances present in aqueous suspensions of unbleached thermomechanical pulp were studied by transmission electron microscopy and by flocculation experiments. The colloidal substances were primarily lipophilic extractive droplets and colloidal fiber fragments. When larger colloidal fiber fragments were removed by ultracentrifugation the stability of the lipophilic droplets against flocculation and sedimentation with cationic polyelectrolytes was enhanced.
