AlFe-PILC EXTRUDED IN TILE CATALYTIC OXIDATION OF PHENOL

摘要
AlFe-PILC catalyst shaped as extruded compact cylinders was used in the oxidation of phenol in an aqueous medium. As the process of manufacturing A1Fe-PILC extruded, affects the intrinsic activity of the catalyst, in this work the mechanical resistance, the chemical stability and the diffusional limitations of the catalyst conformed were determined. The extruded were manufactured with mass ratio 42/28/30 of intercalated clay with AIFe, binder (50/50 mixture of sodium and calcium bentonite) and water, exhibiting high mechanical resistance and chemical stability to immersion in water. The extruded A1Fe-PILC showed an effectiveness factor less than I therefore, the reaction is limited by intraparticle diffusion.
