摘要
The problem of the estimation of the individual weights of objects by using a biased spring balance weighing design with the diagonal covariance matrix of errors has been dealt with in this paper. The lower bound for the variance of each of the estimated weights for this biased spring balance weighing design is obtained and a necessary and sufficient condition for attaining this lower bound is given. The incidence matrix of a BIB design has been used to construct optimum biased spring balance weighing designs. © 1990.
