CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS RELIGIOUS AND SPIRITUAL ORIENTATIONS AND THEIR PRACTICE OF PSYCHOTHERAPY

This study examined the nature of clinical psychologists' religiousness and spirituality, their attitudes toward religiousness, their utilization of interventions of a religious nature in psychotherapy and their training regarding religious and spiritual issues. Religiousness, as used in this study, was defined as adherence to he beliefs and practices of an organized church or religious institution and spirituality was defined as those more personal practices of a religious nature which may or may not emanate from a particular religious institution.
