摘要
We studied the adsorption of Co2+ by the cell walls of Candida utilis and Torulopsis famata. The adsorptive capacity of the yeast cell wall for heavy metals is not determined merely by its protein components, but rather by the structural organization of the entire protein-carbohydrate complex, and by the degree of dissociation of the negatively-charged functional groups and their accessibility to the metals.
