A NEW PHASE-TRANSITION PHENOMENON IN NITI ALLOY

摘要
We carried out internal friction measurement, electrical resistance recording, DSC thermal analysis, and X-ray diffraction study for investigating the phase transition behaviour of a quenched, near-equi atomic NiTi alloy over a temperature range of -180° to 80°C. A new phase transition, different from the I/C and C/M transitions, is discovered. This NiTi alloy is characterized with two way shape memory effect after training. © 1990.
