A RAPID ESTIMATION METHOD FOR THERMAL-CONDUCTIVITY OF PURE LIQUIDS

摘要
Based on the reference substance approach, an equation for the rapid estimation of pure liquid thermal conductivity in watts per metre per kelvin at any absolute temperature T in kelvins, namely lambda = 0.0655-0.0005T + 1.3855-0.00197T/M0.5 requiring the molar mass of the compound M in grams per mole as the only input, has been developed and tested. The equation is shown to predict pure liquid thermal conductivity comparable with some of the methods described in the literature requiring additional input data.
