STRONG LANGMUIR TURBULENCE AND BEAM-PLASMA-DISCHARGE IN THE IONOSPHERIC PLASMA

摘要
A numerical model of beam-plasma discharge based on the one-dimensional theory of strong Langmuir turbulence generated by an electron beam injected into the plasma is considered. It is shown that the plasma density may exceed several times its initial value during a beam injection period due to the multi-act ionization of the neutral gas by heated electrons.
