摘要
A total internal reflection element (IRE) was coated with a highly viscous hydrocarbon liquid, and IR spectra were taken with the coated IRE in contact with aqueous solutions. Analyses of the spectra provided quantitative descriptions of both the adsorption of surfactant at the liquid hydrocarbon/aqueous interface and the kinetics of metal-ion extraction into the film. © 1990, American Chemical Society.
