摘要
A versatile power distribution system simulator integrating load flow, fault current calculation and modelling of overcurrent relays and breaker operation has been developed with the teaching of engineering students as the primary objective. It can also be used as an integrated tool for the assessment of overcurrent relay settings and for engineer training. This integrated simulator is interactive and can be operated in the same way as in a distribution control centre. Appropriate sets of scenarios can be generated for different levels of student/training exercises. All actions taken by the student are logged, automatically evaluated and awarded a grade. Special computing techniques in load flow and fault current calculation are introduced.
