OSCILLATORY DOMAIN IN A SIMPLE REACTION MODEL

摘要
The reaction model in a continuous flow stirred tank reactor (CSTR) comprising (i) the autocatalytic reaction A+B --> 2B and (ii) reaction B --> C obeying fractional order kinetics has been examined when the rate of second step = k2B(n) where n has any fractional value between 0 and 1. Limit cycle oscillations are obtained in specific cases. Influence of reduced residence time and the magnitude of n on the occurrence of oscillations has been examined.
