摘要
The microscopic model for microemulsions, introduced earlier by Ciach, Hoye, and Stell [J. Chem. Phys. 90, 1214 (1989)] is here specialized to a one-dimensional lattice and solved exactly by the transfer matrix method. The microemulsion phase is identified by the formation of thermally distributed surfactant-bounded domains of oil. For this phase we find scattering functions and characteristic lengths that have some of the same features found in experimental data for microemulsions. Mean-field interactions beyond nearest-neighbor sites are introduced in order to study the phase diagram for the nonperiodic phases we encounter.
