It is required for TL glo- curves used for dosimetry that an isolated peak should he located in a fairly high temperature region, in order to avoid fading during storage of the irradiated materials at room temperature. The beta-phase Ca2(PO4)2 usually shows two glow peaks at about 110 and 210-degrees-C, when heated at the rate of 20-degrees-C.min-1 after X irradiation at room temperature. When the material is doped with Tm2O3, the 210-degrees-C peak is very weak. However, by co-doping with CeO2 the 210-degrees-C peak becomes strong and can be used for dosimetry.
