摘要：

The changing tendency of air temperature variation during the last century and the increase of the mean global temperature of the Earth by more then 0.5 degrees C are proven by numerous studies. However, recent studies indicate that the tendency of temperature variations at regional and local level may vary compared to the temperature registered at continental, hemisphere or general level. The air temperature for the Romanian territory has some particular characteristics due to the interaction of the general movement of air masses with the local geographical physical conditions and the Carpathians' influence. In order to characterize the air temperature, there were analysed the monthly values registered at 6 meteorological stations, using long series of observations, provided by the National Meteorological Association. All the stations have been functioning since the beginning of the century (1901-2000).
