摘要：

In its history irony has had a multiplicity of senses, but each sense has had one of this two characterizations: a semantic or a pragmatic one. In Modernity, and as the inheritance of a certain interpretation of the Romanticism, the most important characterization has been the semantic one. In this article we try to analyze how one of the postmodern heirs of the semantic interpretation of the irony, Paul de Man, has understanded it compared to the allegory.
