摘要：
All-trans-retinoic acid functions by binding to nuclear receptor proteins (RARalpha, beta, gamma) that interact with response elements in various genes involved in development and differentiation. A new family of nuclear receptors (RXRalpha, beta, gamma) has been discovered that uses 9-cis-retinoic acid as ligand and may function particularly in regulation of genes involved in intermediary metabolism.
