摘要
The reaction of octaethylferrocene (1) and 7,7',8,8'-tetracyano-p-chinodimethane (TCNQ) gives a 1:1 charge-transfer complex [(C5Et4H)2Fe]+[TCNQ]- (2a). The crystal structure of 2a has been determined at 110 K (a 8.967(l), b 9.074(l), c 10.997(2) angstrom, alpha-102.12(1), beta-102.04(1), gamma-98.64(1)-degrees, V 827.8(2) angstrom 3, Z = 1) and shown to consist of one-dimensional D+A-D+ ... - stacks. The reaction of 1 with 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-7,7',8,8'-tetracyano-p-chinodimethane (TCNQ-F4) gives a 1:1 charge-transfer complex with a dimeric anion, that crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c (a 15.193(3), b 16.303(2), c 15.157(7) angstrom, beta 115.84(2)-degrees, V 3379(l) angstrom 3, Z = 4, determined at 103 K). The known charge-transfer complex of decaethylferrocene with TCNQ has independently been subjected to a crystal structure analysis at 110 K.
