Dural sinus thrombosis is an uncommon condition in childhood which can cause a pseudotumor cerebri-like syndrome. We observed a case in a 14-year-old boy affected by typhoid fever. The patient, about one month later, showed symptoms suggesting Behcet disease, but the follow-up did not confirm a definitive diagnosis which conformed to standardised criteria. The review of the literature suggests that both ethiological hypotheses (typhoid fever and Behcet disease at onset), in absence of coagulation abnormalities, should be considered in the case of unexplained dural sinus thrombosis.
