摘要
The temperature gradient across the puddle is the characteristic parameter in the melt-spinning process. Thus the heat transfer from the puddle to the cooling wheel is the main controlling mechanism of the ribbon formation. The properties of the ribbon are determined by its thermodynamic state, which is dependent on the temperature gradient across the puddle. The temperature gradient induces a non-equilibrium state. Decreasing the temperature gradient leads to crystallization.
