摘要：

Optimal control for an elliptic equation when the control is the zero-order coefficient of the differential operator is considered and an optimality system is derived. Under certain assumptions, the problem is solved completely by giving the uniqueness and the constructive existence proof for the nonlinear optimality system. An extension to the case when the state equation is a particular elliptic system is considered as well.
