ANALYSIS OF THE FACTORIAL MOMENTS OF THE PSEUDORAPIDITY DISTRIBUTIONS OF CHARGED-PARTICLES IN C-NE AND C-CU COLLISIONS AT MOMENTUM 4.5 GEV/C PER NUCLEON

摘要
The method of scaled factorial moments is used to study local fluctuations of the pseudorapidity distributions of charged particles in central C-Ne and C-Cu collisions at momentum approximately 4.5 GeV/c per nucleon. The corrected factorial moments are studied, taking into account the shape of the pseudorapidity distributions. There is evidence of a nonstatistical nature of the multiparticle fluctuations. The contribution of fluctuations of a dynamical nature to the studied nuclear central collisions is found to be small compared with that found in studies of all inelastic interactions.
