摘要：

Aspects of the population dynamics of Merluccius merluccius in the northern Ionian Sea (Mediterranean Sea) are reported. Data were collected during ten trawl surveys carried out from 1985 to 1991. Results relative to the growth, mortality and assessment according to yield per recruit model are discussed. An overfishing status is evident in the area.
