摘要
The object of this article is the discussion of flows of desire and affective investments in contemporary TV narratives focused on soap operas. The text takes a transdisciplinary perspective between Communication, Psychology, and Political Economy of Communication in order to approach propositions for the search for happiness as expressed in soap operas. The aim is to share theoretical reflections regarding investment of desire in soap operas based on what is proposed as solutions for existential conflicts and possible actions that might mean obtaining results for that investment. According to soap operas, [un] happiness is a result of individual effort and success and does not depend on collective actions and therefore on public policies and actions.
