摘要：

1. 1. Femoral gland secretions were obtained from juvenile and adult male green iguanas (Iguana iguana) from Panama during December, when iguanas are reproductively active. 2. 2. Thin-layer chromatograms of chloroform-methanol extracts of the secretions of both age classes indicate bands consistent with sterols, free fatty acids, steryl esters, phosphatidylethanolamine and lysophophatidylcholine. 3. 3. Analyses by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry indicate C14-C24 fatty acids, cholestan-3-ol and cholest-5-en-3-ol in the secretions of both age classes. © 1990.
