摘要
Significance of isolated anti-HBc positivity among hospital employees was evaluated by studying the antibody response to a hepatitis B vaccine (r-DNA Hepatitis B vaccine, SKF Laboratories) in 49 subjects. Response was primary in 49 % of subjects, secondary in 16.3 %, and weak or absent in 34.7 %. Secondary reactions were more common among females. These data demonstrate that there is no single interpretation of isolated anti-HBc positivity. Nearly half of the subjects with anti-HBc-antibodies as the only hepatitis B marker may require immunization.
