摘要
After a brief description of the current multistandard digital television environment which now exists, the author describes two integrated progressive scan converters. The first of the two scan converters is the line-progressive scan (LPS) converter. This converter is defined in such a way that it can be applied in a basic digital system without any external components. At its input, it receives the standard digital time-multiplexed 20. 25-MHz luminance and chrominance plus the correctly timed synchronization signals. The LPS converter doubles the video information at its output. The second converter, called the field-progressive scan (FPS) converter, is then described. The FPS converter receives data from both the picture-enhancement processor and the field memory controller (FMC). From the FMC it receives synchronization and control information. One control signal indicates whether the field delay equals 262 or 263 lines. The other one distinguishes between standard and non-standard input field lengths. The output signals from the FPS converter are identical to the output signals from the LPS converter.
