Systematic Approach to Synthesis of a Drive System

The problem of synthesis of a drive system consisting of a motor, a mechanism of motion translation, and a controlling system is discussed. A systematized procedure for determining rational parameters of drive systems based on the hierarchy of closed dimensionless mathematical models is suggested. From step to step, the precision of the model gradually increases due to the greater number of determining dimensionless factors taken into consideration.
