摘要
Urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy in early stage after surgery occurs in about 30% of patients but later, over one year after surgery, signs of stress urinary incontinence we can observe in only about 5% of investigated patients. Objective data concern reasons and grade of incontinence may give us a comprehensive urodynamic assessment. Important for prognosis is degree of damage of the sphincter mechanism. Aim of study: The aim of the study was diagnostic possibilities of postsurgical urinary incontinence in patients after radical prostatectomy on the base of comprehensive urodynamic study. Material and methods: In Urodynamical Workshop of 10 Military Clinical Hospital in Bydgoszcz comprehensive urodynamic study of patient complaining on urinary incontinence twelve months after radical prostatectomy was performed. It consists from urinary flow rate, cystometry, pressure-flow study and static profilometry. Results: The maximum closure pressure was significantly diminished up to 8 cm of water what suggest a presence of stress urinary incontinence. Signs of detrusor instability were discovered as well as incompetency of sphincter mechanism. The results of investigation was important for decision of treatment. Conclusions: The comprehensive urodynamic study is very important factor for diagnosis of postsurgical urinary incontinence.
