摘要
From the fungus Chaetomium cochlioides DSM 63353, two tetrahydrofurans with a branched alkene skeleton were isolated. The main compound proved to be identical with aureonitol; its relative configuration was revised and its absolute configuration determined using the revised Mosher procedure. In minor amounts, a new spiroketal was isolated which is biogenetically related to aureonitol. The biosynthesis of the main compound is discussed, based on the newly established absolute configuration.
