The Role of Turkish Librarians' Association (TLA) in In-service Taining

As technological advances have led to changes in services in the field of librarianship, it has revealed new methods and applications. This situation, leads to inadequate professional training of librarians in order to carry out their duties at work and gives rise the need for in-service training. Turkish Librarians' Association since the establishment have organized many activities in order to the in-service training for librarians. In the study with emphasis on the concept of in-service training, in-service training needs of librarians has been mentioned. In addition, we briefly focused on the in-service training activities for librarians carried out by the Turkish Librarians' Association.
