摘要
This article aims to describe the development of the Theory of Self-Efficacy over time, as well as to explain how different authors have adapted its postulates to teaching performance in educational organizations. In this sense, the article reviews the development of the theory and its main components; then, it analyzes the two most important approaches that have contributed to the conceptualization of this theory among teachers; and finally it synthetizes the main studies on teachers' self-efficacy developed in Chile.
