VISIBLE UP-CONVERTED SUPERFLUORESCENCE IN TM-3+ DOPED FIBERS

摘要
Infrared-to-visible upconversion is demonstrated in Tm3+ doped silica based optical fibers. Several near infrared (approximately 800 nm), visible (450, 650 nm) and UV (366 nm) lines were recorded. Furthermore, when combined with stimulated Raman scattering of the pump (1064 nm) radiation, the upconverted emission was further enhanced leading to superfluorescent (or amplified spontaneous) emission.
