摘要
The importance of fear in influencing social processes, including social and organizational change, has been insufficiently explored. In addition to flight and fight, or subjugation and rebellion, containment is a typical response to fear. Relative power disparities cause fear in elite groups. Attempts to contain the source of fear, which they perceive as threatening, leads elites to engage in organizational change.
