MODEL FOR PREDICTING STEEL TEMPERATURE AND THERMAL STATE OF CASTING TUNDISHES

摘要：
A mathematical model is presented which evaluates the thermal state of the tundish and the time evolution of the steel temperature during the casting process, taking into account different operating conditions. The model was verified by experimental measurements carried out in a steelplant for continuous casting of blooms. There was good agreement obtained between measured and calculated temperatures.
