PRODUCTION OF DISOMIC ADDITION LINES AND PARTIAL AMPHIPLOIDS OF THINOPYRUM-JUNCEUM ON WHEAT

11 disomic addition lines, and 9 partial amphiploids have been obtained from an intergeneric hybridization between cultivated wheat and the hexaploid spMKs Thinopyrum junceum. The strategy used for the extraction of these lines is described. The genomic structure of the addition lines was checked: as expected, they carry 21 pairs of wheat chromosomes, plus an additional one, of alien origin. The analysis of homology relationships between the added chromosomes revealed that 3 lines carry distant homologous chromosomes. The amphiploids (2N = 56) exhibit regular meiotic pairing, with 28 bivalents in most Pollen Mother Cells.
