摘要
The following document aims to determine the macroeconomic determinants of international migration in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. Migration in the country and in Michoacan is a historical process in which people move from their countries of origin in search, mainly, for working and a higher level of income. In addition to this economic cause we found more from social and political developments. However, the generality emphasizes the search Dof better welfare conditions. For the identification of macroeconomic factors that are affecting migration a simple econometric model was developed of ordinary least squares, which includes statistical information of the sizes 2010 migration, marginalization, and welfare of the 113 municipalities of the state of Michoacan. The results show that households that have migrants are linked with an adjusted R square of 0.43, with the features of the home, the school, the size of the locality, unemployment and medical coverage. Thus concluding that the determinants of migration in the municipalities of Michoacan in 2010 were economic and social, that is, was the lack of social welfare which caused the phenomenon.
