The methodology is based on a geographic approach with a multimodal perspective since it is relied on qualitative information like native and introduced flora and fauna observation and interviews with dealers and visitors. The quantitative analysis makes reference to the number of restaurants accompanied by automated cartography. The results present the methodological outlines focus on the planning, principles and management for a sustainable tourism development in the island, and at the same time it is useful for other Mexican protected nature reserves.
