摘要
The objective of our study was to evaluate role of ultrasound and computed tomography in blunt abdominal trauma patients. 50 patients with blunt injury to the abdomen were assessed for injuries to various organs using organ injury scale using both USG and CT and the results were compared and the sensitivity and specificity of USG compared with CT was calculated and the positive predictive value and negative predictive value of USG for individual organs was calculated. The study was performed from August 2012 to February 2013 in the Department of Radiodiagnosis Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences, Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh on 50 cases with blunt abdominal trauma.
