Education at distance and TIC: Transformation for the innovation in higher education

摘要
The study centers the critical interest in the Education at distance (EaD), the TIC, the constructivista knowledge and the significant learning, in order to explore spaces to incorporate efficiently these technologies to the methodologic and pedagogical practices of the higher education and to discuss the competitions that concern to him these organizations to transform the traditional educative schemes and to generate new processes of education in which forms, updates and specializes the active adult population, within the framework of the constructivistas theories, the interactive and significant learning, for the construction of the knowledge. The reality of the EaD in Venezuela is emphasized, taking between the references to the ONE by its emblematic condition and on which it falls responsibility to the tending innovations to an educative service with pertinencia, efficiency and effectiveness, fit to the new realities and to take part successfully in the new scenes. The final considerations allude to the distance modality, like the best one positioned to contribute innovating experiences, base that must sustain the training process in higher education.
