摘要：
A theoretical investigation of the factors that limit the dynamic range of a streak image tube has been carried out where particular attention has been paid to the consideration of space charge effects. Results involving the influence of various operating parameters, such as slit size, input pulse duration, operating voltages and streak speed, on dynamic range are presented. These theoretical data indicate that the upper limit of the dynamic range is primarily due to the space-charge interactions.
